Dave Robbins grew up in South Dorchester and as a young man was a hunter and trapper in the Robbins area. He later owned a building supply company in Cambridge. He was a major contributor toward the construction of the Robbins Heritage Center at the Dorchester Historical Society, which was named in honor of he and his wife. In this lecture, he talks about hunting and trapping, and life in general in the marshlands of South Dorchester, near the present Blackwater Refuge.
