George Radcliffe, Sr. gives a talk on the history of windmills in Dorchester County. One of the most prominent of these is the "Spocott Windmill, a grist post mill used for grinding grain, constructed by his family about 1850. The original was destroyed by the blizzard of 1888 but it was restored in 1972 using the original grinding stones and interior stairs. The mill is still operational and is occasionally used for demonstrations
